After nearly a decade of futility, it appears that the New York Football Giants might—might—finally be back. Queue Michael Corleone: “Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in."
Fresh off of the bright lights of Sunday Night Football, where they defeated their longtime rivals, the Dallas Cowboys, 28-20, Big Blue is back in the national spotlight for a tough Monday Night matchup against Super Bowl-favorite Los Angeles Rams.
The Rams’ home opener is sure to have their fans on edge after a 27-7 beatdown at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers last Thursday in Melbourne, Australia. Will Joe Buck and Troy Aikman be noting a barrage of touchdowns from Puka Nacua and Kyren Williams, or are Jaxson Dart and the Giants legit?

Pulled Back In:
The Rams lured Aaron Donald out of retirement this offseason, after trading for superstar defensive lineman Myles Garrett. While Garrett went down with a knee injury in Week 1, Donald is set to take the field for LA tonight.
“That’s the plan,” Donald told reporters last week, after getting in two practices alongside his old/new teammates.
Will he look like the three-time Defensive Player of the Year, or more like a 35-year-old coming off of some well-deserved rest?
“Last night took a L, but tonight I bounce back”
Matthew Stafford, the league’s reigning MVP, went 15-25 for just 155 yards, no touchdowns, and a pick in the season opener. Was it the jet lag or Father Time catching up to the talented quarterback?
Head Coach Sean McVay certainly isn’t sleeping on New York. “They’ve got playmakers all over the place on both sides of the football,” he said. Even still, the Rams are 6+-point favorites, as of writing.
Big Blue is Off and Running:
Jaxson Dart looked great in the debut of year two—but all eyes were on star wideout Malik Nabers, who returned from a knee injury to the tune of six catches for 69 yards. Bowling ball running back Cam Skattebo also proved why he was a fan favorite, powering his way to 81 yards and a score, with the Giants D holding the high-powered Cowboys offense to just 244 total yards of offense.
