The MLB Playoffs are heating up—and it’s time for baseball card collectors on Courtyard to pick a side.
Today, Courtyard is launching two new packs built specifically for the League Championship Series: the MLB: AL Playoff Pack and the MLB: NL Playoff Pack. Each pack holds chase cards from one league, so collectors can back the American League or the National League while the pennants are being decided on the diamond between the Los Angeles Dodgers, Milwaukee Brewers, Cleveland Guardians, and Tampa Bay Rays.
With the World Series looming, it’s time to paint the black and rack up the Ks.
What are Courtyard’s MLB Playoff Packs?
The AL and NL Playoff Packs are two new Courtyard baseball packs that split postseason talent by league. Each costs $149 and is available from today, October 14th through October 21st, giving baseball card collectors plenty of cards to chase throughout the League Championship Series as fans prepare for the World Series, which begins on Friday, October 23rd.
The Chase Cards: Aaron Judge and the AL vs. Shohei Ohtani and the NL
Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes hit 102 mph on a fastball in 2024. Aaron Judge has won three of the last four AL MVP Awards. Roman Anthony is one of baseball’s most highly-touted young prospects, and looks poised to be a future star. And Shohei Ohtani…well, he might be the best to ever do it. Now, you’ve got a chance to own chase cards from every one of these league-leading players.
- National League – Shohei Ohtani, Los Angeles Dodgers: 2024 Topps Chrome Helix #HX1 (PSA 10)
- The Dodgers are chasing a third-straight World Series title, and Ohtani returned from knee and bicep injuries just in time for the playoffs. Even with a payroll that dwarfs their opponent, the Dodgers find themselves down 0-2 to the Milwaukee Brewers.
- National League – Paul Skenes, Pittsburgh Pirates: 2023 Bowman Draft Chrome Prospects Auto Gold Rookie Card #CDA-PS (PSA 8)
- Skenes finished 2026 with a 3.82 ERA and 200 strikeouts over 32 starts, the first Pirates starter with back-to-back 200-strikeout seasons since Bob Veale in 1964-1966. While the Pirates might have missed the postseason, Skenes remains one of the league’s most-sought after superstars.
- American League – Aaron Judge, New York Yankees: 2025 Topps Chrome Update Alter Egos Super Heroes #6 (PSA 9)
- Judge might miss out on yet another MVP trophy, but the Yankees eliminated their arch rivals, the Boston Red Sox, in the AL Wild Card Series, and that’s a win in and of itself for the Bronx Bombers. Now it’s time for Judge to get truly healthy and turn his attention to the 2027-28 season.
- American League – Roman Anthony, Boston Red Sox: 2026 Topps 75th Anniversary Certified Autograph #189 (PSA 10)
- The 22-year-old had an up-and-down second season in the Big Leagues, battling injuries and hype before the Red Sox rollercoaster finally ended in the Wild Card Series. The future is still bright for the young Boston outfielder.
