If the NBA is a league driven by its superstars, the NFL is a league defined by its quarterback play. While signal-callers didn’t have a flawless Week 5, we certainly saw some standout performances that had collectors racing to nab chase cards—and others rethinking the makeup of their display cases.
With the 2026-27 NFL regular season more than a quarter of the way through, a number of QB-centric storylines have arisen: Is Drake Maye a fraud? Can Aaron Rodgers defy Father Time? Can Joe Burrow learn how to get rid of the ball and avoid taking a sack?
Week 5 provided some (partial) answers to all of the above, along with plenty of drama; we officially got our first tie game, as Jayden Daniels inexplicably tried to rush on the final play of the game as the clock ticked down to zero while he lay on the ground. And with what is sure to be an action-packed ‘episode’ of Monday Night Football between the Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium, we’ve got another set of Limited Drop Monday Night Game Packs ($69) to keep the fun going.
Featuring gems from Josh Allen, Matthew Stafford, Puka Nacua, and Bills legend Jim Kelly, each with bounties of 70,000 Courtyard Points ($350), the Monday Night Game Packs are available for just 24 hours, so get ‘em while you can.
“Week after week, it's the time that is right // All my rowdy friends are here on Monday night!”
The Top Quarterbacks in NFL Week 5, and their Cards on Courtyard
It’s a quarterback’s league, and Week 5 served as a reminder that good QB play is what makes this league so special. Here are some of the best performances from Sunday’s football service:
- Drake Maye, New England Patriots:
- Maye’s early season touchdown to interception ratio had haters calling last year’s MVP runner-up a sham. “See! We told you he only looked good because the Pats had a weak schedule.” Then, Maye earned AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his Week 4 comeback win at Buffalo. In Week 5, he kept the magic going against what had been a solid Las Vegas Raiders team, completing 26 of 34 passes for 374 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions, plus a rushing score, in a blowout 45-17 win. Is Maye back, or are the Raiders more mid than we thought?
- Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers:
- Love went 25 of 31 for 367 yards and two touchdowns without a turnover in a 31-7 beatdown of their longtime rivals, the Chicago Bears. While it doesn’t quite make up for last January's 31-27 NFC Wild Card Round loss at Soldier Field, it was clear the Pack wanted revenge, as they kept throwing late into the game.
- Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals:
- Burrow needed just 190 yards to throw four touchdowns, finishing 23 of 32 with no interceptions in a 31-24 win at Miami. Importantly, the Bengals QB didn’t go down for a single sack. Everyone knows Burrow has a cannon of an arm, but his inability to throw the ball away has been a longtime criticism.
- Aaron Rodgers, Pittsburgh Steelers:
- At 42, Rodgers threw three TDs against the Colts, leading the Steelers to a win after last week’s rough loss on TNF.
- Jameis Winston and Jayden Daniels, New York Giants and Washington Commanders:
- The week's strangest result was a 27-27 tie in Washington. Winston turned back the clock and threw for 326 yards and three touchdowns on 33-of-54 passing. The QB that once threw 30 INTs in a season didn’t toss a single pick. Meanwhile, Daniels put up nine rushes for 103 yards and two touchdowns, added 199 passing yards in his return from injury—but took a sack when his team could’ve kicked a field goal to win in what was a head-scratching end to the game.
An honorable mention goes to Trevor Lawrence, who threw for 331 yards and two touchdowns in London as Jacksonville edged Philadelphia in yet another wild ending.
