Baseball Fans: The Lineup is Here—Fives Days, Five Bounties, One Big Postseason Celebration

Ask a baseball fan “Who’s on first?” and you’ll get a five-minute-long response. Don’t forget to laugh.

Ask a baseball fan on Courtyard, and they’ll tell you it’s Chicago White Sox pitcher Hagen Smith.

While Smith stars from the pitcher’s mound, not first base, the White Sox’s lefty is not only leading his team into their first MLB Playoffs Division Series since 2021, he’s also leading Courtyard’s rotation for the week-long “Baseball: The Lineup” event.

Timed to matchups between the White Sox and Cleveland Guardians, the Atlanta Braves and the Los Angeles Dodgers, the New York Yankees and the Tampa Bay Rays, the San Diego Padres and the Milwaukee Brewers, The Lineup gives casual baseball fans and lifelong collectors of America’s pastime alike a chance to join in on the fun while watching Division Series games throughout the week.

Will the White Sox defy expectations and make a deep postseason run? Can the Yankees, fresh off defeating their archrival Boston Red Sox without former MVP Aaron Judge, continue to light up the Bronx? Is anyone good enough to take down Shohei Ohtani and the Dodgers? Only time will tell, but we’ve got a way for you to get in on the action, too.

Get ready for The Lineup.

What is The Lineup?

The Lineup is a five-day event running from today, Monday, October 5th, through Friday, October 9th. Every day throughout the week, Courtyard will choose one player from the Division Series games taking place that day. A chase card from that player will then be inserted into a Courtyard Baseball Pack the morning of the game, waiting to be pulled as fans prepare for the first pitch—or into the night as the game goes to extra innings. The collector lucky enough to pull the card not only gets the card itself, but a bounty of Courtyard Points, too.

The Batting Order

Like any good lineup, from Babe Ruth’s Murderer’s Row to Jim Thome’s 1995 Cleveland Indians, Courtyard’s Lineup has a set order, and it only gets more dangerous from player to player.

Not only does the value of the chase card increase as The Lineup rolls along, but the associated bounty assigned to each chase card increases, too.

Monday leads off with Chicago White Sox pitcher Hagen Smith and a bounty of 50,000 Courtyard points, worth approximately $250, for pulling his 2024 Bowman Draft Chrome Refractor (PSA 10). You can expect to see some truly massive bounties later in the week, too—but you’ll have to check back each day to see just how high the bounty goes.

Chase the Cards—and Clues

Every day will have a different chase card—and bounty—and the Courtyard team is carefully selecting each and every one

Every chase card in The Lineup is at the center of a story baseball fans are following: a series-swinging hot streak, the MVP race, a star coming back from injury, or a team trying to keep its season alive. Watch the MLB’s best compete on the diamond, and chase your own glory on Courtyard the same day.

Time to Take Your Cuts

The Lineup runs today through Friday, with an exciting new chase card and an eye-watering bounty revealed every morning. Grab a bat, take a swing at Courtyard’s Baseball Packs, and knock it out of the park.
